As a reading addict, I am always looking for new authors to read. This is because unlike that woman in Misery, I don't have my favourite authors in chains at my beck and call. One of the beautiful things I discovered when I fell into fandom (firstly Supernatural, now together with Inception) is the number of brilliant people who analyse the material we obsess over and puts it up to be enjoyed and discussed by others.

From the Supernatural fandom, I learnt that race/ethnic/gender issues can be explosive and multi-faceted. ( Read more... )
